Significado de Ilhoa
Ilhoa é o feminino de Ilhéu e significa mulher que nasceu em alguma ilha, isto é, natural de uma ilha, relativo a ilha.
O lugar onde nascemos marca a nossa essência e termos nascido e crescido numa das ilhas do Arquipélago dos Açores dotou-nos, indubitavelmente, com características insulares. Como se o conjunto de fenómenos geográficos característicos das ilhas vulcânicas, ocorressem em paralelo na moldagem da nossa personalidade e maneira de estar.
O nosso primeiro projecto fotográfico tem o intuito de mostrar o que é ser Ilhoa e contemplar-vos com as paisagens que marcam o nosso dia-a-dia.

Meaning of Ilhoa
Ilhoa is the female of Ilhéu and means woman who was born on some island, that is, natural of an island.
The place where we are born marks our essence and tha fact that we were born and grown in one of the nine islands of the Azores Archipelago has, undoubtedly, give us island characteristics. As if the set of geographic phenomena of the volcanic islands occurred in parallel in the molding of our personality and way of being.
Our first photographic project aims to show what it is to be Ilhoa and contemplate you with the landscapes that mark our day to day life.
